A Brief History

UKM-Global Student Mobility Partnerships (UKM-GSMP) is a summer inbound program, which usually take place in July - August annually. Starting in year 2009, this year it will be the 10th edition of this programme. In this programme, international students will join the local students in 3 weeks educational tour around Malaysia.

With the theme "Building Bridges for International Understanding and Friendship", this programme also aim to promote the awareness about the sustainable ecology and multiple unique culture around the world as well as to promote Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Malaysia itself as the world class international educational hub.

Student mobility is one of UKM's strategic priorities. Coordinated by International Relations Centre (UKM Global) with collaboration various UKM faculties and institutes, international students get the opportunity to study at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) under the UKM-Global Student Mobility Partnerships programme. It combines experiencing university life at one of Malaysia’s leading universities and experiencing the true nature and culture of Asia.
